Terms of Service

Last updated 7 August 2026. Written to be read, not to be survived.

1. What BlueAI is

BlueAI is a chat service that sends your question to a language model and returns the answer. Conversation history, titles, and uploaded files are encrypted in your browser before they reach the server.

BlueAI is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or built from OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, or any other AI company, and uses none of their names, logos, or assets.

2. Who can use BlueAI

BlueAI is offered and sold in the United States. We do not market the service outside the United States, and payment is accepted from United States customers only.

You must be authorised to use any payment method you enter, and you agree to the acceptable use rules in section 4. Questions about these terms go to [email protected].

3. Your account and your keys

You sign up with a username and a password. No email address or phone number is required.

Your password never leaves your device. It derives the key that unlocks your history, which means we cannot read your history and cannot reset your password for you.

Your recovery key is the only other way into your vault. If you lose both the password and the recovery key, your encrypted history is permanently unreadable. Nobody, including us, can restore it. This is a deliberate design decision, not a limitation we can waive.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use BlueAI to break the law, to harm people, to generate sexual content involving minors, to develop weapons, to run spam or fraud at scale, or to attack the service or its users. Do not bypass plan limits, resell access, or scrape the service in bulk.

How we enforce this, honestly. We cannot read your conversations, so we do not monitor content and we do not scan your history. We act on reports from third parties, on payment fraud signals, on usage patterns visible in metering such as automated request volume, and on legal orders. When we act, we act on the account, not on content we cannot see.

What we do. For a first, unclear, or minor issue, we warn. For clear or repeated violations, we limit, suspend, or close the account. For content that is illegal to possess, we report it where the law requires; note that because your history is encrypted with a key we do not hold, we cannot produce it.

Appeals. Email [email protected] with your username. A human reviews it and answers within 10 business days. Reports of abuse go to the same address.

5. Model answers

Model answers can be wrong, outdated, or confidently misleading. Check anything that matters, especially medical, legal, and financial questions.

You own what you write. You are responsible for how you use what the model produces.

While a model is answering, the text of that single request is processed by the model provider in the clear. Everything stored afterwards is encrypted. We state this plainly rather than claiming otherwise.

6. Plans, payment, and refunds

Free and paid plans and their limits are described on the pricing page. Limits are enforced in code, not only in marketing copy.

Paid plans are prepaid and do not renew automatically. You pay in cryptocurrency for one period at a time, at the amount and exchange rate shown before you send anything. We hold no card and no payment instrument, so nothing can ever be charged to you without you starting a new payment yourself.

When a paid period is close to ending we tell you in the app. If you do nothing, the account moves to the Free plan at the end of the period and keeps working. Ending a paid plan never deletes your history.

Refunds. If a paid period has started and you have made fewer than five requests in it, write to [email protected] within 14 days of the payment and we refund it in full. Beyond that, a period already used is not refundable, except where consumer law requires otherwise.

How a crypto refund works. Cryptocurrency payments cannot be reversed by a bank and there is no chargeback, so refunds are sent by us manually. We refund to a wallet address you give us, in the same asset you paid in, for the same US dollar value as the original payment, converted at the rate on the day we send it. Network fees are deducted. We send refunds within 10 business days.

Prices can change. A price change never affects a period you already paid for, and the price is always shown before you send any payment.

7. Availability

BlueAI is offered as-is. We aim for continuous availability but do not promise it, and maintenance or provider outages can interrupt service.

Paid plans get priority routing and higher limits, which is a matter of ordering and capacity rather than a guaranteed response time.

8. Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time from data settings. Deletion removes your account, your encrypted history, your files, and your usage counters.

We may end the agreement if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop operating the service. If we stop operating, we give notice so you can export your data first.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, BlueAI is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or lost data.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and does not allow to be waived.

10. Changes to these terms

We can update these terms. Material changes are announced on this page with a new date, and for paid accounts before the next renewal.

Continuing to use BlueAI after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Questions about these terms: [email protected]. Security reports: security.txt. What we have been asked to hand over: our record of requests.
