What is actually different here
No email on file
Accounts need a username and password only. There is no address to leak or to match you against.
No ads, no brokers
Revenue comes from subscriptions. There is no advertising business that would need your questions.
Exportable and deletable
Take the encrypted archive with you, or delete the account and the ciphertext goes with it.
The part most privacy pages leave out
A model still has to see your question in order to answer it. Anyone claiming otherwise is selling something. What can be controlled is everything around that moment: whether the question is stored in readable form, whether it is attached to an identity, whether it trains a future model, and whether it is sold on.
Here the stored history is ciphertext we cannot open, the identity is a username you invented, and the answer to the last two is no. The Global Privacy Control signal is honoured in the response headers rather than quietly ignored, and the subprocessor list is published rather than described.
That is a narrower promise than “totally private AI”, and it is one that can be checked — which is the only kind worth making.
