One price, every model: how we decided

There are two honest ways to sell access to a lot of models. Charge for each one and let people assemble a bill, or charge once and absorb the variance yourself. We picked the second, and it is worth explaining why, because the first is more profitable per user.

Rationing is a bad experience

When each model has its own price, people stop choosing the right tool and start choosing the cheap one. They ask a hard question of a small model because the good one costs extra, get a mediocre answer, and conclude the product is mediocre. Everybody loses that trade.

What one price means in practice

Every published model is included in every paid plan. The newest flagships reach the top tiers first, which is stated on the models page rather than discovered at the moment you try to select one. The free plan is a real plan with real models, not a demo that expires.

What we owe you in return

If the price is flat, the honesty has to be flat too. That means the list of models is public and generated from the same catalogue the chat reads, availability is shown live, and a model that is failing over says so on its card instead of quietly answering worse.

It also means we say it here when the price changes, before it changes, with the reasoning attached.
