- Sign-up
- The first question needs no account. An account is a username and a password. No email is required.
- History
- Conversations are encrypted in the browser before they are stored. That is a narrower, checkable claim than most privacy pages make.
What you give up, honestly
There is no first-party mobile app. Voice is a browser microphone, not Advanced Voice. There is no GPT store. If those three are load-bearing in your week, keep Plus for them and use this for the work where the answer matters more than the wrapper.
There is also no automatic import of ChatGPT history. Paste the threads that still matter, or attach them as a file. That is clumsy and it is the truth.
The first week
- Ask the thing you were going to search for
- Do not start with a test prompt designed to impress anyone. Start with work.
- Turn research on when the answer needs pages
- Anything with a figure, a rule or a current event should come back with sources. Open them.
- Try a second model on one hard question
- That is the feature Plus cannot offer. One thread, two labs, no copy-paste.
